Positive opinion with decision 76/2022 from the Environment and Planning Committee of the Region of Crete

Heraklion-Nicosia, January 3, 2023 – EuroAsia Interconnector announces that on December 29, 2022, the Environment and Planning Committee of the Region of Crete with its decision no. 76/2022, has given a positive opinion on the environmental conditions of the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) of the Cyprus-Greece (Crete) Electricity Interconnection Project of Common Interest (PCI 3.10), in accordance with the terms and conditions described in the decision.

EuroAsia Interconnector thanks all the authorities and the Region of Crete, for their continuous support to the Cyprus-Greece (Crete) Electricity Interconnection which ends the energy isolation of Cyprus and offers significant social-economic benefits to Cyprus, Greece, the island of Crete and the European Union.
